MY EYES HAVE SEEN

    Arm over shoulders-
    My eyes have seen
    Too many things.
    One a friend, the other,
Him who has drawn me in,
    To give my ears,
    When I hear
    His voice singing,
    To have them filled
    Bottom to brim,
    And even deeper
    Into my being
    With that voice which resounds
    In me, at a heart-bound
    Frequency, teasing the thin
Walls of my heart that hold
    Feelings from sanity-
    They must be shut,
    Those eyes that see;
    But the heart still longs,
    The mind still thinks,
    And the ears still hear
    Too many things.
